The Nightingale Bathing Assistant is an electronically controlled bath lift swing device manufactured in South Africa. The bath lift is suitable for the elderly, frail and physically challenged who are unable or lacking in confidence to get in and out of the bath themselves. Nightingale Bathing Assistant gently lowers and raises one out of the bath using touch sensitive controls or a remote unit which includes an alarm to summon assistance. The Nightingale is trickle charged via a transformer outside the bathroom to ensure optimal working of the batteries, which automatically take over in the event of a power failure. The sling belt comfortably handles a weight of 160kgs. The unit fits many baths and is easily installed.
